Job description:

Dolphin Computer Access Limited delivers independence solutions to people with visual and print disabilities.  With a distribution channel in over forty countries and products available in over twenty languages, Dolphin is one of the leading suppliers of software to people with low vision and dyslexia. 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Create test specifications and test plans for the testing of Dolphin beta software by both internal and external testers.  This will include creating specific test plans/specifications for beta products to be targeted at specific individual internal/external testers.
• Test Dolphin alpha and beta products.
• Test Dolphin software for compatibility with third party software. This is to include third party beta and released software.
• Provide testing support to internal and external beta testers of Dolphin products.
• Liaise with the various Dolphin product managers to ensure the correct functionality of new features/products.
• Assist the Technical Support Manager in the management of the external beta testing resources. 

Person profile:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in writing and implementing software test plans and specifications.
• Experience and knowledge in a Quality Assurance (QA) environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and 7.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of Terminal Server and Citrix environments.
• Support and troubleshooting experience in the various Microsoft Windows platforms.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• A sceptical approach, insight and perception.
• Very good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to fully participate and contribute in formal and informal meetings.

Hours of work:

9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
