Happy New Year!

Firstly, we wish all our users a very Happy New Year! 2003 was a very positive year for Dolphin in terms of both technical and product development success. We have also made considerable investment in screen reading and magnification technology both for current products and for new platforms.

The Dolphin Group has also been busy working in other areas. The Audio Publishing team have released EaseReader, the DAISY software player, in English, Dutch & Swedish. We expect to release German and Polish soon. EasePublisher, the DAISY publishing tool, had its first public preview earlier this month at BETT, the UK Education Show. EasePublisher makes the creation of DAISY synchronised books from text, html and/or audio files quick and simple. EasePublisher is now undergoing final refinements in preparation for its launch this Spring.

We're delighted to welcome another new member of staff to our development team. Bill Barna joins our programming team. Bill is an experienced and creative senior programmer with a background in designing computer games. He was responsible for the team that developed the 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' game. Bill is looking forward to finding creative solutions for access issues, especially those associated with palm top and pocket devices.

We also wish Hazel Shaw the very best of luck as she goes on maternity leave to have her second baby. We look forward to welcoming Hazel back in September.
