VIEW is a UK based charity which exists to support those who work in education with visually impaired children in the UK. From QTVIs (Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired), to teaching assistants, habilitation specialists and other roles, VIEW champions best practice and promotes the specialist VI education sector – representing the interests of children and young people with vision impairment.
The annual VIEW conference brings together these education professionals along with organisations, like Dolphin, who provide visual impairment services to the sector. Seminars, presentations and shared learning help to continually improve and develop the opportunities available to low vision children; giving them a strong foundation to progress in life.
As a charity VIEW relies on its members to remain in operation, and offers a membership program - details of which can be found on their website. Members can access an online discussion forum, as well as member exclusive content from the industry, free online resources and discounted training courses relevant to their role.
Dolphin SuperNova has been developed with many education specific features to benefit visually impaired students, includng the SuperNova USB for flexible studying on any Windows PC, and Connect & View for connecting to the teachers interactive whiteboard. We also offer a home and school licences policy; whereby any licence purchased by a school is matched by a home licence for the same student for continuity in their learning.
