Microsoft will soon remove support for Skype 7, and users will no longer be able to use it. This has implications for Dolphin software users which are outlined in this article.
SuperNova / Dolphin Screen Reader
We do not currently support the latest version of Skype (currently Skype 8). To this end, we strongly recommend that SuperNova and Dolphin Screen Reader users do not update their existing Skype versions when prompted. In the meantime we are currently investigating support for Skype version 8 and will update this article as and when there is news on this. From September, users of Skype 7 will no longer be able to make or receive calls.
Guide only works with Skype 7, so from September 1st 2018, when Microsoft servers stop communicating with Skype version 7, Guide users will no longer be able to use Skype. At this time we have no solution for this.
