In SuperNova’s “Connect and View” feature, a camera connected by USB is not automatically detected by SuperNova when running on Windows 10. Going into SuperNova Control Panel, Visual menu > Connect and view > Settings, in the “Devices” section it shows “Off” in the drop down menu to select the relevant camera.
To ensure it functions correctly, you will need to make an amendment in the Windows settings:
- Bring up the Windows Settings by pressing Windows Key + I.
- Select Privacy.
- Select Camera.
- In the settings for Camera, select “Allow access to the camera on this device” and ensure that access is allowed, and also select “Allow apps to access your camera” and ensure this is turned on.
- Return to the SuperNova Control Panel, Visual menu > Connect and view > Settings, and in the “Devices” section it should have the relevant camera available to be selected in the drop down menu.
