Description

When you launch SuperNova following installation you may get the message “A referral was returned from the server".  This message is caused by an out of date GlobalSign root certificate being installed on the operating system.  This can occur if you have a new installation of Windows that is yet to receive the updated certificate, or if ‘Turn off Automatic Root Certificates Update’ Group Policy has been enabled by your IT administrators in a managed environment.

Solution

To resolve the issue download and install the R1 and R3 GlobalSign certificates from: https://support.globalsign.com/customer/portal/articles/1426602-globalsign-root-certificates

Once installed SuperNova should launch without error.
