This article explains some current known issues with EasyReader and the RNIB Reading Serviecs.



We are aware of issues with the RNIB Reading Services on EasyReader. In the next versions of EasyReader we plan to include some improvements – the current known issues include:

  • “Failed to download book” error message. This is something RNIB are investigating currently.
  • Large / Multi volume books cannot be opened – Dolphin are currently investigating this.


The following issues are fixed in the free 2.8 update:


  • “EasyReader wants to connect to” error message
  • A crash may occur when reading a text-only book with your devices built-in TTS.


In addition, if you have problems logging into RNIB Reading Services, please contact the RNIB directly who will be able to assist further.
