Blind Veterans is a UK charity which aims to support any member of the armed forces - current or former - who has severe sight loss. It doesn't matter whether the sight loss occured during service or at some point afterwards; they're there to help people to adjust to their circumstances, learn new skills, relearn old skills and generally get the most out of life.

Their campaign slogan "No-one Alone" sums up this approach.

We went along to visit them last year and find out more about their Llandudno centre, and meet two of their members who's lives have been changed by the charity. Through Blind Veterans and Dolphin's SuperNova software, Billy & John have both learned to use a computer - something they didn't do even before they began to lose their sight.

They shared their stories with us; from their armed forces experience, through to their sight loss, the lows that followed, and coming out the other side.
