National Writing Day logo 21st June 2017Today is National Writing Day although, at Dolphin, we believe every day should be National Writing Day if you want it to be! Our software has helped lots of people to continue writing depsite their sight loss - whether it's writing emails to friends, letters to organisations, or even books!

You may have read about Anthony Ridgeway on our website before. Anthony uses Dolphin Guide to write children's books about Wizzy the Electric Wheelchair. Anthony is visually impaired and uses an electric wheelchair himself as he has cerebral palsy. He's made a short video with the help of his publishers to show just how he uses Guide for writing, and how it helps him to use the correct words, as he admits he isn't always very good at spelling!

Anthony's latest book, Wizzy the Animal Whisperer, was printed by Little Knoll Bookshop, and British actor David Suchet read an excerpt at the launch. As well as Guide software, Anthony uses a Dolphin keyboard which has large print, high visibility keys to make it easier for him to type.

We've also had published authors who have used SuperNova to write their story.

Joanne had audiobook "Confessions of a Guide Dog" published as an audiobook with audible.co.uk. Watch Joanne talk about her writing here.

Richard wrote A Snowdonia Childhood using SuperNova, which was then published by Abe Books. Watch Richard talk about his SuperNova and book writing experience here.
