This article describes how to remove the “Check for Updates” options from the SuperNova Control Panel.
If deploying SuperNova in a corporate environment, you may wish to remove the ability for user to check for and download software updates from within the software's user interface. You can do this by starting SuperNova with a switch command. To do this:
- Locate the shortcut used to start SuperNova
- RIGHT CLICK on the shortcut and from the context menu choose "Properties"
- In the "Target" field, the path to the Supernova executable will be named. Here we need to add a -I switch. The resulting path should look something like:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Dolphin\SnovaSuite1404\Snova.EXE" -i
When starting SuperNova using this shortcut, all options for checking for or downloading software updates will now be missing.
