Description

Instructions for setting up Dolphin SaySo and Dolphin Bookshelf on a network.

Solution

1. Download and unzip http://downloads.yourdolphin.com/046DolphinSaySoInstallFiles.zipcontaining the installation package. Unzip folder is referred to as [PACKAGENAME] below.

2. Unzip license files [LICENSEPACKAGE.zip] delivered by mail or similar (authorise.ini and Setup.msi).

Please note, the file Setup.msi is not an installer but a scrambled text file used by the authorization system. DO NOT run this as an installer.

3. Make sure that all the following are completed for the destination target or include this in the setup process. This can be done two ways, make sure it is already installed or add it to the installation process. Below are instructions on what is needed if it should be added in the installation process. For those who want there are to sample bat files showing a sample of how the installation package could be installed.

The files are InstallFull32.bat (32 bit OS) and InstallFull64.bat (64 bit OS).

Prerequisites:

  • Operating System (OS): Windows XP SP2 or later, Windows Vista or Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit)
  • Windows Imaging Component
Needed by .NET 4 Framework, comes with Win XP SP3 or later, i.e. only needed on Windows XP SP2. If you run Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista or Windows 7 this is already present and can be skipped.
    To add:
    Run: [PACKAGENAME]\prereqs\dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe
    Command line switches: /norestart /passive
    Permissions: Run as administrator
