Topic: Unable to send outgoing email from any email provider when connected to an Orange Home broadband connection

NB: Please note that product names in this article may have changed since the time of writing.
You are unable to send any emails through Guide whilst connected to an Orange Home broadband connection., despite the SMTP settings being correctly set within the Guide Email Settings menu.
Orange insists that all outgoing / SMTP emails sent from a computer connected to Orange Home Broadband use the Orange SMTP settings, rather than those of your email provider. For information on why this is the case, please see the following article on the Orange website:
To rectify the problem, please change your Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server address in the Guide Email Settings menu to:
Leave the SMTP Username blank.
