16. Application Settings And Situation Settings
Exercise 1
Here is what you should have done:
- Create an Application Settings file for WordPad.
- If off, turn on the SuperNova Colour Scheme.
- Create an Application Settings file for Paint.
- If on, turn off the SuperNova Colour Scheme.
- Test your work.
Notice the effects on the Colour Scheme setting as you switch between WordPad and Paint.
Exercise 2
To do this:
Part 1
- Run WordPad.
- Create an Application Settings file for WordPad (if you already have an Application Settings file for WordPad then you can use this file).
- Set SuperNova Character Echo to "Words".
Part 2
- Open the "Save As" dialog box and create a Situation Setting for the "Save As" dialog box.
- Set Character Echo to "Characters".
- Exit the "Save As" dialog box and check what SuperNova says when typing in WordPad.
- Open the "Save As" dialog box and test what SuperNova says when typing a filename.
Part 3
- Open the "Open" dialog box.
- Open the SuperNova Control Panel and through the "File" menu, "New" submenu, open the "new Situation Settings" dialog box.
- Select "Use an existing Situation" and select the Situation Setting you created for the "Save As" dialog box from the available list.
