 Exercise 1

Here is what you should have done:

  1. Create an Application Settings file for WordPad.
  2. If off, turn on the SuperNova Colour Scheme.
  3. Create an Application Settings file for Paint.
  4. If on, turn off the SuperNova Colour Scheme.
  5. Test your work.

Notice the effects on the Colour Scheme setting as you switch between WordPad and Paint.

 Exercise 2

To do this:

Part 1

  1. Run WordPad.
  2. Create an Application Settings file for WordPad (if you already have an Application Settings file for WordPad then you can use this file).
  3. Set SuperNova Character Echo to "Words".

Part 2

  1. Open the "Save As" dialog box and create a Situation Setting for the "Save As" dialog box.
  2. Set Character Echo to "Characters".
  3. Exit the "Save As" dialog box and check what SuperNova says when typing in WordPad.
  4. Open the "Save As" dialog box and test what SuperNova says when typing a filename.

Part 3

  1. Open the "Open" dialog box.
  2. Open the SuperNova Control Panel and through the "File" menu, "New" submenu, open the "new Situation Settings" dialog box.
  3. Select "Use an existing Situation" and select the Situation Setting you created for the "Save As" dialog box from the available list.
