Chapter List

When you press the DOWN ARROW key to move the Dolphin Cursor through a table, you will find the Dolphin Cursor moves down the cell's content and then onto the next cell in the row. When you reach the end of the row, the Dolphin Cursor moves onto the next row in the table. Depending on your chosen Verbosity Scheme, you will also find as you move through the table, SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader will tell you your current cell co-ordinates, helping you keep track of your position in the table.

Alongside the use of the Arrow Keys to move through a table, the Dolphine Cursor also includes some useful hot keys to move quickly across a row and up and down a column. These hot keys are laid out in the table below so as you review the table below, try out the hot keys too!

Please be aware that SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader recognise tables on a web page if the tables or cells contain a border. If the HTML markup shows a table without borders then SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader will not recognise this as a table and the hot keys will not be available. This avoids the problem where borderless tables are regularly used to layout the web page rather than to show tabular data.
