Chapter 2: SuperNova Editions
1. Meet Dolphin SuperNova

SuperNova is available in three editions:

 SuperNova Magnifier

 SuperNova Magnifier and Speech

 SuperNova Magnifier and Screen Reader

 

The main features available in each edition are:

• Magnifier
• Visual Effects

 

• Magnifier
• Visual Effects
• Screen Reader (*)

 

• Magnifier : allows you to make the screen easier to see by magnifying the content of the screen
• Visual Effects: allows you to make the screen easier to see by changing colours, using highlights and using alternative mouse pointers
• Screen Reader: allows you to convert the content of the screen to speech output through a hardware synthesiser or a computer's soundcard
• Braille: allows you to convert the content of the screen to Braille using a Braille display

Trainer Note: As you progress through the course you will learn in more detail what is available in each of these categories. For now it is only important to know that SuperNova has three different editions, each with a feature set that reflects specific user needs.
