Support for the new Microsoft ‘Edge’ web browser

SuperNova 19.02 users can now also experience the same great magnification, speech and braille support for Microsoft’s newly updated Edge web browser. Download the new Edge browser from: http://www.microsoft.com/edge  

SuperNova users can now choose from 4 supported web browsers, including: Chrome, Firefox, Edge & Internet Explorer.

New Colour Blindness Colour Schemes 

3 new colour changer schemes have now been included for users with specific colour vision deficiencies:

  • Protanopia (problems with reds)
  • Deuteranopia (problems with greens)
  • Tritanopia (problems with blues)

Adobe Reader 2020 Support

SuperNova 19.02 now includes support for the 2020 edition of Adobe Reader.

Spotify Desktop App Support

New support for the Spotify Desktop app is now included in version 19.02. (Please note support for the Spotify app available via the Windows Store is not included.)

SuperNova – Now Quicker to Start

SuperNova 19.02 users will now notice that all editions of SuperNova are now quicker to start.

Reaper Support

Updated support for the Reaper digital audio workstation app has kindly been developed by Lars Sonnebo and is now included for all SuperNova 19 users.

Slovak

The new 19.02 also sees the release of a Slovak localisation of all editions of SuperNova.

Fixes:

FIX: A crash has been fixed that occurred when accessing the address bar in Firefox.

FIX: A crash has been fixed that occurred when adjusting the mouse pointer settings.

FIX: For organisations running SuperNova Enterprise, a crash has been fixed if OCR was disabled in the Enterprise Config utility.

FIX: A hang in SuperNova’s control panel has been fixed.

FIX: Item Finder now detects the presence of Text Boxes in Word documents.

FIX: A fix has been made for an error code 7 that appeared on start-up, when SuperNova was starting up at the same time as another application was waiting for user confirmation on the User Account Control screen (e.g. Skype wanting to install an update on startup).

FIX: The multiple monitors checkbox to call up the Control Panel from the mouse on the currently active monitor now works as expected.

FIX: An intermittent crash has been fixed when performing an OCR from a scanner.

FIX: A fix has been made for OCR users - that in some specific scenarios - using the close button on the OCR progress dialog, the OCR didn’t stop as expected.

FIX: A crash has been fixed that users may have experienced intermittently when using SuperNova’s new navigation keys in Read From Here.

FIX: SuperNova users running the profile ‘Screen reader without visual highlights’ may notice some performance improvements in Word.

FIX: Word documents that are in protected view now read as expected. When enabling the editing of the document, SuperNova now functions and performs as expected.

FIX: SuperNova’s Office Add-in now keeps synchronised with the version of SuperNova.

FIX: Users of Outlook 365 or Outlook 2016 may notice performance improvements when using the Calendar.

FIX: Connect & View users that now attempt to scan and append a document, but are notified ‘no text is detected’ are now returned to the document view window as they would expect.

FIX: Users of 19.01 may have noticed some visual disruptions to the SuperNova control panel after dragging and snapping it to the edge of the screen. This is now resolved.

FIX: Highlights now preview as expected in the highlighting options dialog of the SuperNova control panel.

FIX: The icons in SuperNova’s visual tab no longer appear black when SuperNova is set to 'Start with Control Panel Minimised'.  

FIX: SuperNova no longer attempts to grab the focus when users are using Zoom Video Conferencing software as some video windows were being incorrectly detected as pop-up windows.

FIX: The beam cursor is no longer showing in the Enhancements dialogue of the SuperNova control panel.

SuperNova’s End User Licence Agreement (EULA) has now been updated.
