Q: What is the Windows Creators Update?
Windows Creators Update is the latest update to Windows 10, which will roll out in April. When Microsoft introduced Windows 10, they announced it would be the final ever Windows release. There will be no Windows 11; instead Microsoft will continually update Windows 10 while retaining the same name.
Because Creators Update is a major update from Microsoft it will have an impact on assistive technology, meaning you need to update your SuperNova software to ensure compatibility.
Q: What happens if I don't update?
Microsoft will perform a check on all computers before they automatically update them, to ensure they're running comptaible accessibility software. If you haven't updated your SuperNova, Microsoft won't roll out the Creators update to your machine. But, without the most up to date version of Windows 10, you will not future receive security updates and patches from Microsoft. That's why we recommend that you update as soon as possible.
Q: Why haven't I had to update my SuperNova previously?
There have already been some updates since Windows 10 was released back in 2015, but you may not be aware of them because they've been minor updates which haven't affected your assistive technology.
Q: How do I know which version of SuperNova I am running?
Open the SuperNova control panel, select the Help menu and open the about option. Here you will find details about the version of SuperNova you’re running.
Q: I am running SuperNova 15 on Windows 10, what action do I need to take?
A: A free of charge update will be available shortly via our internet updater service. Simply install the 15.06 update BEFORE accepting the Windows update. If you have selected to receive automatic updates from SuperNova you will receive a notification (General menu > Update settings). Otherwise use the Help menu > Check for Updates option (Internet connection required). Alternatively you can download the update patch from our website here: https:/product/updates/all
Q: I am running SuperNova 16 on Windows 10, what do I need to?
A: A free of charge update is available via the SuperNova internet updater now. Simply install the 16.03 update BEFORE accepting the Windows update. If you have selected to receive automatic updates from SuperNova you will receive a notification (General menu > Update settings). Otherwise use the Help menu > Check for Updates option (Internet connection required). Alternatively you can download the update patch from our website here: https:/product/updates/all
Q: How will I know when the Windows Creators Update is arriving?
The Windows Creators Update is due to start rolling out during April. But the good news is that Microsoft will perform a check for assistive technology including SuperNova, BEFORE automatically applying the Creators Update. If you haven't yet installed your SuperNova update, you will prompted to a Dolphin page with further information, including links to download your free update.

No. Microsoft has ceased development of Windows 7.
