Sarah: The magnifier follows everything you do, so sometimes information you may need to see is not visible. Hooked Areas allow you to permanently magnify a section of the screen independent of the magnifier view. This can be extremely useful when writing word documents or working with spread-sheets.

To create a hooked area, simply press left control and num pad five. To adjust the position of the hooked area, simply press the arrow keys. To adjust the size of the hooked area, simply hold down left control and then use the arrow keys.

To adjust the area of the screen shown inside your hooked area, simply hold down left shift and use the arrow keys to move to the correct area of the screen.

Finally, to change the magnification level of a hooked area, simply hold left control and press num pad plus to increase the magnification. Hold left control and num pad minus, to decrease the magnification. Once you are happy with your hooked area, simply press escape.

You can edit or delete your hooked areas by pressing left control and num pad six. Press left control and num pad six again to select a different hooked area. To turn hooked areas on or off, simply press left control and num pad three. This allows you to view your hooked areas, only when you need them.
