Turn image descriptions on or off

Please note: this feature is currently only available in text-only books.

As per the EPUB 3 specification, some books may include a description in front of alt-text tagging on images. You can control whether or not these image descriptions are visible. To do this:

1. In the Reader, tap the ‘Text settings’  button near the top right of the screen
2. Tap the button next to ‘Show image description” to turn the option on or off.
3. Once you are happy with your choice, choose ‘back’ or ‘close’ at the top left of the screen to return to the Reader
