EasyReader Help & Instructions
Change the Reader screen layout
By default, the Reader Screen appears using Simple layout view. Simple layout view offers the "Play" button, "Previous" button, and the "Next" button to control playback. On first run, you will also find the "Show position for" set to display the current page number. If the book contains no defined pages, then "No pages" is reported.
You can adjust the layout of the Reader screen to meet your requirements.
To do this:
- From the Reader screen, select the "Navigation settings" button.
- Do any of the following:
- Set "Simple navigation layout" on or off. Turning Simple navigation layout off provides additional playback controls. These include a "Previous heading" button, a "Next heading" button, and a progress bar presenting your position in the book.
- Set "Full screen on play / stop" on or off. This option is available when Simple layout is off. Enabling this option activates full screen view when playback starts and restores normal view when playback stops.
- Set "Navigation mode" value. this option enables you to specify the value the Previous and Next buttons skip in the Reader screen. You can choose from preset time intervals, the book's default value, pages, or headings.
- "Set progress bar as" value. This option is available when Simple layout is off. You can set the progress bar to show your position relative to the whole book or to the current heading.
- Set "Show position for" value. This option controls what information is presented on the status bar of the Reader screen. The "book position" option shows the current reading position as a percentage when reading a text-only book and as time when reading audio-based books. The "Remaining" option shows the percentage remaining or time remaining depending on your book format. The "Current page" option shows your current page number or reports "No pages" if the book contains no page numbers.
- Go back to your book.
