In this video, you’ll learn how to control GuideConnect using the Dolphin Remote.

With the remote, there are 4 groups of buttons you can use to control GuideConnect. The first group is the large circular pad in the middle. This allows you to move through the items on screen and select the one you want.

Pressing the right edge of the pad moves you to the next item on the screen. Pressing the left edge of the pad moves you to the previous item. The ‘OK’ button, in the centre of the pad, selects the item and opens a new screen.

The second group is below the circular pad and contains two buttons, with a tactile dot between them. The ‘Back’ button, to the left of the dot, moves you back to the previous screen. The ‘Speaker’ button, to the right of the dot, will interrupt and repeat the speech.

The third group of buttons is below the tactile dot, and includes a long button with a ‘Plus’ symbol on the right and ‘Minus’ symbol on the left. Press either the ‘Plus’ or ‘Minus’ button, to increase or decrease the volume. Alternatively, press and hold the ‘Plus’ or ‘Minus’ buttons, to increase or decrease the magnification.

The fourth group of buttons is above the circular pad. The A button, near the top left, is the ‘Actions’ button. Press the ‘Actions’ button to open a list of Actions for the screen you are using. GuideConnect will tell you when they are available, and a blue button will appear at the top left corner of the screen.

The B button, near the top right, is the ‘Help and Information’ button. Press this button, for help and information about your device, such as notifications, whether you’re connected to the internet and more. Select the first item in the menu, which is called ‘Help’, to open help for the feature you are using.

Finally, the small button at the very top right, is the ‘Pairing’ button. You will only need this button when you connect a new Dolphin Remote to GuideConnect.
