With SuperNova’s Connect and View, you can scan multiple pages of printed text with your camera, and convert them into a text file or word document. This allows you to compare leaflets, books and letters, without changing your settings, or constantly moving your camera.

To scan multiple pages, first connect SuperNova to a USB camera or whiteboard, and switch on Connect and View. Select the Scan icon, at the top right of the button bar, to open the Doc Reader. Here, you can read all the pages you scanned so far, and tailor the screen to fit your reading preferences.

To add a new page, select the pages button, at the right half of button bar. You will then find the pages drop down menu, where you can scan a new document, or export your scanned text to Microsoft word.

Select the plus button, to add a new page, and you’ll be given two new options in the centre of the screen. Select the document image on the right, to import a previous scan from your computer, or select the camera image on the left, to scan a new image with your camera.

When you choose the camera option, SuperNova will switch back to the Connect and View, allowing you to place a new document or printed text underneath your camera. When you are happy with the position of the document, select the Scan button again. The Doc Reader will open your new page on screen, with a new option to switch back to your previous scan.

Click on the pages button again, to find a new left arrow button from the drop down menu. Click on the left arrow, your previous scan will appear on screen. To go back to your new scan, select the pages button again, and select the new right arrow button.

You can also use your mouse to click on either side of the screen, to navigate all the pages you have previously scanned. Double click on the left side of the screen, to go back to your previous page, and double click on the right of the screen, to go to your next page.

You’ll be able to scan and add as many pages as you like, and when you have finished, you can export all your text, by clicking on the pages button again.  In the drop down menu, you now have the choice of either deleting your page, by selecting the bin button, or exporting your text, by selecting the Export button at the bottom the menu.

When you select Export, you’ll be presented with you choice of three buttons, in the middle of the screen. Choose the left button, to export the text with the original layout; choose the middle button, to export only the text, and choose the right button, to export as a plain text file, instead of Microsoft Word.
