Introducing the GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement

An Upgrade Agreement is included for the first twelve months with any new purchase of GuideConnect software. As Windows has introduced rolling updates to their software, the GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement provides you with unlimited releases to ensure your GuideConnect assistive technology software is always up to date and works with the latest changes in Windows.

Please note that the GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement replaces GuideConnect Premium Plan.

Improvements to GuideConnect in May 2024

Calendar Repeat Events

There are even more options now to set repeating calendar events and reminders. So, if you have a regular activity, appointment, meeting or event to attend, you can set them to appear in your calendar at the appropriate intervals. 

This is handy for birthday reminders, repeat events, work meetings or regular get-togethers with friends. Whether you meet annually, monthly, weekly, or would like to customise for your own needs - such as fortnightly or every second Tuesday of the month!

You can also set daily reminders, to help you complete those regular tasks on your to-do list.

 

Fixes in GuideConnect for May 2024

In this release, small additional bug fixes improve your experience of video calling, emails, letters and documents, the bookshelf, dictation and PDF printing:

Email

• All emails are now visible in the inbox in GuideConnect as expected
• All emails are now loading when visiting Inbox from email notification
• Any email with a multi-line signature now sends as expected

Bookshelf

• Book covers are now displayed for books in KDD and Legimus libraries, where - available.
• Books can be opened and read as expected in Books and News
• Navigating a DAISY 2 book in GuideConnect now works as expected

Letters and Documents

• Now able to open PDFs with diacritics in the file name
• Numbers are now announced correctly when a tab is inserted into the text

Notifications

• Fix applied to the OK button so that it closes the notification as expected

Print

• PDFs print as expected
   

Date & Time

• 24-hour clock time now displays as expected

You may also notice that the naming convention for GuideConnect versions has been changed from a version number to a release date. This will help you keep track of the latest technical releases to GuideConnect that keep your software up to date.
