Parent or carer to a young person with SEN? Learning from home starting to feel like a nightmare?
If you’re supporting a child with autism (ASD), dyslexia, ADHD, partial sight, blindness or other disabilities - we have some good news! Find out more about a free online textbook service in our short webinar!
We’ll show you how your disabled learner can browse and download all their textbooks from a single online library via a free app. Use the app to change the books' fonts, sizes, colours. Even better get the app to read the book aloud. This webinar will show how you can do exactly all that - and it's all FREE to disabled learners in education!
The RNIB’s Stacy Scott and Dolphin’s Steve Bennett will introduce and demonstrate the 2 parts of the home learning puzzle. Firstly signing up to the RNIB's 'Education Collection' of nearly half a million textbooks in electronic formats - a free service for print-disabled learners.
Secondly the free EasyReader app that empowers disabled students to download and read their textbooks in a way that suits their disability and their learning style. Large fonts. Dyslexia friendly font. Change font colours. Switch the background colour. Hear the book read aloud. Listen and read along, following the highlighted word.
This short webinar will answer the following questions:
- Which disabled students qualify to use RNIB Bookshare?
- How do I sign up my child as a member?
- What text books are available?
- Where do I get the free EasyReader app?
- How does EasyReader support different disabilities?
