Notification Improvements

Notifications has been moved to the GuideConnect Main Menu. This makes it easier to read notifications such as: ‘new email received’, calendar reminders, ‘device battery running low’, ‘book download complete’ etc.

Notification announcements have now been extended to provide more information. 

New functionality has been added to notifications. It’s now possible to open relevant links if they are included in an announcement. These can take you through to the relevant location, such as a new email, or to a new Knowledge Base Article or support video.

New in Emails

The email ‘Drafts’ option has been moved to the Email menu. This makes it more convenient to save, complete and send draft emails, particularly if you compose drafts offline or lose internet connection before you send.

For many European users, language support is now available for the characters Å Ä Ö. These are now all available to use in emails.

New in Websites

Improvements in the Website Menu mean it's easier to identify and select your favourite websites. This will make them quicker and easier to navigate and use. 

Additional fixes and improvements

The update to 1.27 also includes fixes and improvements for printing, entertainment, documents, the 12-hour clock and more.

How to update to GuideConnect 1.27

GuideConnect 1.27 is exclusively available for all customers with an active Premium Plan.

Updating to the latest version is easy. If you have an active Premium Plan, the update will automatically download while you are using GuideConnect, it will then install the next time you open Guideconnect. 

Please note - The update to GuideConnect 1.27 will be rolled out to customers in stages over the next few weeks. If you don’t receive the update straight away, please be assured that it’s on its way. 

Keep your Premium Plan up to date 

You can check whether your Premium Plan is up to date using the menu options in GuideConnect. To do this: 

  1. Open GuideConnect.
  2. Select ‘Tools’.
  3. Select ‘About’.
  4. Select ‘Check my Premium Plan’. 

GuideConnect will tell you whether your Premium Plan is active or is due to be renewed.

Keeping your Premium Plan active means you will benefit from:

  • Exclusive use of premium features, including accessible video calling and multiple email accounts.
  • Regular updates with new features and improvements.
  • Priority status with the Dolphin Support Team.

To renew your Premium Plan

  • If you live in the UK, contact the Dolphin team on 01905 754577 and select option 1.
  • If you live outside the UK, please contact the company you purchased GuideConnect from.
