Dolphin is pleased to announce the availability of SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader 25.06. This latest update continues to support the latest Microsoft updates, with improvements across Windows 11, Teams, Outlook and more, and introduces the Quick Action Recorder, helping you save time by automating everyday tasks with just a few keys. The 25.06 update also brings support for the USB Braille Standard (HID Braille), smoother and more accurate magnification tracking, improved support for Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird, plus a host of accessibility enhancements to ensure a smoother, more productive experience using SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader with popular Windows applications.

Continuous improvements across the latest Microsoft applications
This update continues to deliver accessibility improvements for the latest Microsoft applications, including Windows 11, Teams, Outlook, Edge, Word, Notepad and File Explorer. SuperNova now correctly displays and lets you interact with the Windows 11 Secure Desktop, and your lock screen preferences are now correctly applied. Enjoy clearer speech announcements throughout Teams 365, from creating calendar events and selecting recurring meeting options to using microphone and camera controls. Read longer emails faster with 'Click and Read From Here' in Outlook, navigate Word Settings more quickly, type URLs faster in Edge and benefit from clearer speech feedback in Notepad and File Explorer, helping people with vision impairments continue to work effectively with the applications they depend on every day.
Quick Action Recorder - automate everyday tasks
Save time and work more productively with the new Quick Action Recorder. Record a sequence of key actions, then play it back with just a few keys to automate the activities and tasks you perform most often. The Quick Action Recorder is accessed through Layered Hotkeys, and each recording is allocated its own unique set of Hotkeys, so there are no conflicts with the standard Layered Hotkeys you already use.
Support for the USB Braille Standard (HID Braille)
Connect the latest generation of braille displays more easily. SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader now support the USB Braille Standard (HID Braille) driver, reducing the need for device-specific drivers and making it easier to connect supported displays across Windows devices.
Smoother, more accurate magnification tracking
Keep your place on screen and navigate with confidence at any magnification level. SuperNova Magnification now tracks your focus area and mouse movement more accurately and responsively, with improved Focus Tracking across Microsoft 365 applications and Windows. Magnification controls also now work as expected on the Windows sign-in screen, so you can adjust the zoom level before signing in.
Improved support for Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird
Type faster and navigate more easily in Firefox, with more responsive character echo when typing URLs into the address bar and drop-down lists that are now correctly announced and tracked. In Thunderbird, clearer announcements make everyday email tasks easier, including the dialogs used to create and edit calendar appointments, events and tasks, confirmation when you star or unstar an email, and radio buttons in lists.

Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA)
Keep your SuperNova or Dolphin ScreenReader assistive tech up to date with the latest features, fixes and improvements with a Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA).
An SMA ensures SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader stay compatible with apps including Microsoft Office, Edge, Teams, WhatsApp and Copilot as they update.
It also gives you full access to the Dolphin Support Team by phone, remote support or a scheduled callback.
If you rely on SuperNova or Dolphin ScreenReader every day, an SMA gives you the most stable, reliable and secure experience.
You can renew annually or purchase up to five years in advance, to save money compared to buying individual upgrades.
Updating to SuperNova and Dolphin ScreenReader 25.06
Customers with a valid Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) will be notified when the update is available.
If your SMA has expired, now is the ideal time to renew. A current SMA provides access to the latest accessibility innovations, including the new Quick Action Recorder, ongoing AI-powered features including Face Position and Image Descriptions, plus continued compatibility with Windows and popular applications.
