As 2021 draws to a close, we're reflecting on the positive aspects of the past year and looking forward to the exciting new developments ahead in 2022.

This year, we’ve enjoyed getting back out on the road and paying visits to sight loss centres, exhibitions and conferences around the UK. It’s wonderful to meet people face-to-face again.

We have supported lots more people with visual impairments this year as they set up assistive technology in home offices. We’ve enjoyed providing the training, advice and support for all our new and existing customers.

We have been delighted that our 2021 series of webinars – particularly those for educational staff – have been really well attended, and well received. So we’re adding more of these to our webinar calendar in 2022. We hope you can join us to find out more about how assistive technology might help you and the people you work with.

Dolphin is here to empower people who are blind, partially sighted or have a neurodiverse condition such as dyslexia, to succeed at work and in education.

SuperNova ensures employees with sight loss can continue to work productively, in the office and from at home. While SuperNova Connect & Learn continues to help students and schoolchildren to learn independently in class and at home. 

The Dolphin EasyReader App - endorsed by the RNIB - continues to grow in popularity. It opens a world of accessible books from a global list of libraries and enables readers with visual impairments or neurodiverse conditions such as dyslexia to read a wide range of books and other reading material on the device they prefer. 


Stay independent, connected and entertained

GuideConnect offers a simple way for older people with sight loss to retain their independence for longer. 

Throughout the pandemic, GuideConnect enabled people to communicate with their friends and family. This year, with the introduction of accessible video calling, there even more ways to accessibly connect with loved ones who have a visual impairment.

The entertainment side of GuideConnect was also improved this year, with the introduction of accessible games to play in GuideConnect. Have you tried the sudoku, hangman or blackjack in GuideConnect yet?
