What's new in GuideConnect version 2026.05
GuideConnect 2026.05 is now available.
This release introduces enhancements and fixes for accessing emails, books and news in GuideConnect.
Version 2026.05 is now available across all supported languages.
Customers with an up-to-date GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement will receive this release automatically.
Access Hotmail and Outlook email accounts
Outlook and Hotmail email support has been restored.
Following improvements to two-factor authentication support, users can now set up and use their Outlook and Hotmail accounts in GuideConnect as expected.
Read UICI Newspaper articles
The UICI Newspaper Library for Italy now downloads and displays newspaper content correctly, so users can enjoy reading the latest articles without interruption.
Audio attachments received via email
Playing audio attachments received by email, such as voice notes and audio clips, is now more intuitive.
When an email is closed in GuideConnect, any audio attachment being played will automatically stop, helping to create a more consistent user experience.
GuideConnect version numbers
The GuideConnect version number is now displayed correctly in the Tools menu, making it easy for users to check which version of GuideConnect they are using. For example, GuideConnect 2026.05 will now appear as expected.

The new Reading Assistant and Writing Assistant are available exclusively to customers with an active Upgrade Agreement.

If you do not have an active GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement or you are running an older version of GuideConnect,we recommend you upgrade your licence and purchase a GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement.

If you are based outside the UK, please contact the organisation you purchased your original GuideConnect licence from, and they will be able to provide you with the GuideConnect Upgrade Agreement.
